This three-hour course will teach the basics of keeping your computer and personal information safe while you enjoy the benefits of the Internet. Some of the highlights are computer security, anti-virus software, anti-malware software, what is a VPN, what is a firewall, how to hide your computer from hackers, how to handle SPAM emails, using software to manage user IDs and passwords, how to use your Windows backup tool (applies to all versions of Windows, i.e., Windows 8.1, 10, & 11), and securing personal information across users’ devices.
